Going Green

Ah. The nature. Beautiful and peace. By looking at it I'm at ease.

I wish I could stay in the woods or near one at times, like of those movies in Twillight. I want to run free like a naked wild man, I mean a free spirit breathing in fresh air. Free of pollution, free from traffic and pollutions and almost everything but best of all, free of charge. I want to see the racoons running around, with majestic eagles soaring above the blue skies, squirrels foraging for nuts and the bears scratching their backs against a large Oak tree.

But the Earth as we know it is dying. And it's us humans who is to blame.

We caused:

We polluted the air: Smoke emissions from industries, crop dusting, heavy traffics, deforestation and open burning all leads to AIR POLLUTION. With the ongoing development and expansions of cities, we destroyed valuable rainforests. Once the rainforests are depleted, we will have no clean or fresh air to breaths. Not only that, we will kill countless animals by destroying their habitats. It's only a matter of time when we have to wear gas masks for cleaner air, and even bio suits since the ozone layer has already thinned down critically. With the ozone layer thinning, the harmful ray of UV by sunlights will literally melt our skin and temperatures soar globally which leads to the melting of both the polar cap, which will also lead to increment of water levels and sink small islands. All this in a chain reaction, caused by us Earthlings.

We polluted the water. Oil spills, toxic discharges from factories, rubbishes and hence WATER POLLUTION. We kill the ecosystem by dumping toxic wastes into the rivers, killing fishes, birds and the river inhabitants and their homes. It is like someone throwing rubish into your bedroom. Back at those days, I'm still able to see clear rivers with fishes swimming in it and children swimming and playing in the river, but definitely not now or the future with the murky waters which colours are darker than tea.

The aftermath that will ensue, and this my friends is the ugly truth
We will need gas masks to work
Or wear gas masks, and work underground.
Do you know that the polar caps (north and south pole) both serves as a mirror to reflect and bounce back the sunlight and heat? If it melts, Earth will grow warmer and dry at a faster pace.
Where will the birds go swimming?

What about the thirsty, dehydrated, hungry, scared and homeless Koala?
What about the fishes?
What about Tarzan?

Green Peace!
Andy

Song in mind: 'The Earth Song'.
